Prior to the patch update and installing the latest version (V4 with new venue list mod) I was able to follow my sims to school and complete tasks. Then I installed the latest update for the mod from simscommunity after Zerbu deleted his tumblr. For those who can't get the mod working in Newcrest, remove the old Venue List Mod and replace it with Zerbu - Venue List Mod. If you already have one, delete it and put his updated version in. I strongly advise you to download Scumbumbo's door locking mod so the hotel's guests don't constantly barge into your room.
